“Your Hard Work Drives Our Progress,” Ibarapakan Celebrates Workers on Workers’ Day

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has celebrated Nigerian workers, particularly those in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Local Government Areas of Oyo State, on the occasion of Workers’ Day.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Friday, May 1, 2026, through his spokesperson, Hassan Adesodi Olaoniye, Hon. Adepoju commended the efforts and dedication of workers in his constituency, describing their hard work as vital to the progress and development of the federal constituency.

The lawmaker also praised the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for giving meaning to the civil service in the state. He noted that the governor’s gestures have boosted workers’ morale, encouraging greater commitment to service, while distinguishing the administration as pro-people and citizen-friendly.

“Today, I celebrate the resilience and sacrifices of our workers, whose daily efforts form the pillar of our progress as a people. Your commitment, even in challenging times, inspires hope and drives development across our communities. As your representative, I remain committed in advancing policies that protect your rights, improve your welfare and create opportunities that reflect the value of your labour. Together, we will continue to build a future where hard work is rewarded and dignity in labour is fully upheld,” Ibarapakan remarked

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character also expressed that he remains committed to policies that promote workers’ welfare and protect the dignity of labour across the federation, emphasising that collective effort remains key to achieving sustainable national development.
