The Councillorship Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) for Ward 3 in Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Ashipa, has donated benches to Ward 3 as part of his commitment to community development and grassroots empowerment.
Hon. Ashipa, while handing over the benches on Thursday, said the gesture was aimed at improving sitting convenience at the ward meeting point and providing a more comfortable environment for party members and residents during community engagements.
According to him, leadership should be felt at the grassroots, and even before getting into office, those seeking to serve must show empathy and a willingness to contribute to the growth of their immediate community.
“I believe service should start now, not later. This is our ward, this is our community. If we can make it a little more comfortable for our people to sit, meet and deliberate on issues affecting us, we have done something worthwhile,” Hon. Ashipa stated.
Leaders and members of Ward 3 who received the items commended Hon. Ashipa for his thoughtfulness and people-centered approach, describing him as a young, vibrant and responsible leader who understands the needs of his people.
They noted that Hon. Ashipa has continued to distinguish himself through various selfless interventions in the ward, adding that such gestures show he will perform excellently if elected as Councillor.
The party faithful prayed for his success in the forthcoming local government elections and assured him of their full support.
Hon. Ashipa is the APM Councillorship Candidate for Ward 3, Ibadan South West Local Government Area, and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young candidates in the forthcoming elections.
