Experience, Passion, and Leadership Skill, What Honourable Babatunde George, BGI, Is Known For: The Right Choice for Ibadan South West Constituency II

As political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, stakeholders and constituents of Ibadan South West Constituency II have continued to beam the spotlight on Honourable Babatunde George, popularly known as BGI, describing him as the right choice for the Oyo State House of Assembly seat.

Supporters say BGI’s blend of experience, passion for community development, and proven leadership skill sets him apart in the race for Ibadan South West Constituency II.

Honourable Babatunde George is not new to grassroots politics and public service. Known within the constituency as a bridge-builder, BGI has over the years been involved in community interventions, youth empowerment programmes, and stakeholder engagements Ibadan South West Local Government.

“BGI has been with us through thick and thin. He understands the language of the streets and the demands of governance. That is experience you cannot buy,” said Alhaja Kudirat Adebayo, a market leader in Oke-Ado.

Beyond experience, constituents point to BGI’s passion as his driving force. He has consistently advocated for inclusive governance and participatory democracy, insisting that the people must remain at the center of legislation.

In recent consultations, Honourable Babatunde George reiterated his commitment to sponsoring bills that address youth unemployment, improve primary healthcare, and upgrade public schools in Ibadan South West. He has also championed skills acquisition for women and support for small-scale traders.

“Leadership is not about titles; it is about the people. My passion is to see Ibadan South West Constituency II work for everyone, the young, the old, the trader, and the artisan,” BGI said during a recent town hall meeting.

Colleagues and associates describe BGI as a team player with strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills. His ability to mobilize stakeholders and build consensus has earned him respect across party lines.

“Honourable Babatunde George listens. He doesn’t impose. That is the kind of leadership we need in the House of Assembly, someone who will carry the voice of Ibadan South West to the floor and defend our interests,” noted Comrade Femi Adewale, an artisan in Molete.

“Experience, passion, and leadership skill, these are not slogans. This is what Honourable Babatunde George has demonstrated over the years. He is the right choice for Ibadan South West Constituency II,” said Mr. Tunde Alaran, coordinator of BGI Grassroots Movement.

As campaigns intensify, BGI has urged constituents to remain peaceful, participate in the political process, and urge stakeholders for competence over sentiment.
