Grassroots leader and community advocate, Hon. Wasiu Oladipupo Amole, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Councillor for Ward 6 in the forthcoming Local Government election in Ibadan South West Local Government.
Hon. Amole made the declaration during a ward meeting with party leaders, executives, and members of Ward 6, where he sought their support and blessing ahead of the party primaries.
As a show of commitment to the party, he also presented a cash donation of Two Hundred Thousands Naira to APM members in Ward 6 to support party activities and mobilization ahead of the election.
Speaking to stakeholders, he said his decision was informed by his commitment to continue delivering value and ensuring that the voice of Ward 6 is well represented at the legislative arm of the local government.
“I am here today to seek your blessing and mandate. For years we have worked together to move Ward 6 and Ibadan South West forward. I am ready to serve with integrity, listen to the people, and bring more development directly to our communities,” he stated.
Hon. Amole highlighted his track record of empowerment initiatives, youth engagement, support for market women, and community development projects within Ward 6. He promised to prioritize key areas including road maintenance, drainage, primary healthcare, education support, security, and youth/women empowerment if elected.
Party leaders and executives at the meeting commended his consultative approach and described him as a loyal party man with deep roots in Ward 6.
“Hon. Amole is one of us. He knows our challenges and he has been part of the solutions. Ward 6 needs a representative who is accessible and committed, and we believe he fits that bill,” a party chieftain said.
Members of Ward 6 also pledged their support and promised to mobilize massively for his victory at both the primaries and the main election.
Hon. Amole assured that his campaign will be people-centered and focused on unity, inclusiveness, and sustainable development for Ward 6 and Ibadan South West Local Government at large.
With this declaration, Hon. Wasiu Oladipupo Amole joins the race for Ward 6 Councillorship as political activities continue to gather momentum across Oyo State.
