Distinguished leaders, elders, party executives, and committed members of our great party, the Allied People’s Movement (APM), I humbly greet you all.
I write this message with utmost respect and sincerity to seek your support and understanding as we prepare for the forthcoming local government election. My aspiration to represent the good people of Ward 05 did not begin today. This journey has been one of sacrifice, loyalty, and perseverance.
On my first attempt, despite my commitment and dedication to our party, my opportunity was taken away when my slot was exchanged for the ADC slot, which ordinarily should have been allocated from Ward 03 but was unfortunately taken from Ward 05, leading to the removal of my name from the process. Despite the disappointment, I remained loyal and continued working for the progress of our party.
Again, on my second attempt, I accepted the outcome in the interest of party unity and continued to stand firmly with PDP, believing that our collective interest is greater than individual ambition.
Today, as I present myself for the third time, I strongly believe that this is the right moment for me to be given the opportunity to serve and represent the good people of Ward 05. My consistency, loyalty, grassroots connection, and unwavering dedication to the party over the years have prepared me for this responsibility.
I therefore humbly appeal to our leaders and party faithful to consider my aspiration favourably. This is not merely about personal ambition; it is about giving Ward 05 a representative who understands the needs, struggles, and aspirations of our people and is ready to work tirelessly for their development and the continued growth of our great party.
I assure you all that if given this opportunity, I will represent Ward 05 with integrity, inclusiveness, and dedication, ensuring that every member of our ward has a voice and that APM records a resounding victory.
Together, let us usher in a new dawn for Ward 05.
Hon. Bello Waliy Oladimeji Oluyedun
