Members of the Omituntun Beneficiaries Forum, OBF Youth, paid a courtesy visit to the Director of Youth Mobilization in Oyo State, Ambassador Kazeem Bolarinwa, on Monday, where they pledged support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s anticipated presidential ambition and Honourable Bimbo Adekanmbi’s bid for the governorship of Oyo State.
The visit, held at the Youth director’s office in Ibadan, was part of OBF Youth’s ongoing grassroots mobilization to consolidate youth backing for continuity of good governance in the state and at the national level.
Speaking during the meeting, the OBF Youth Coordinator said the forum appreciates Governor Makinde’s youth-focused policies and infrastructural development across Oyo State. He noted that the group believes Makinde’s leadership style is needed at the national level come 2027.
“We are here to identify with the Director of Youth Mobilization and to declare our total support for His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We also endorse Honourable Bimbo Adekanmbi as the next Governor of Oyo State to continue the Omituntun agenda,” he said.
In his response, Ambassador Kazeem Bolarinwa commended the youth group for their initiative and commitment to political awareness and mobilization. He described OBF Youth as a critical stakeholder in sustaining the gains of the Makinde administration.
Bolarinwa said the state government remains committed to youth empowerment, job creation, and inclusive governance. He urged young people to stay united and participate actively in politics ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We appreciate your support. Governor Makinde has done a lot for the youth of Oyo State, and with leaders like Honourable Bimbo Adekanmbi ready to continue the work, the future is bright. Continue to mobilize peacefully and sensitize your people at the grassroots,” the Director said.
Members of OBF Youth present at the visit said they will begin ward-to-ward sensitization to communicate the group’s position and rally more young people behind the endorsed candidates.
The Omituntun Beneficiaries Forum is a support group formed to promote and protect the policies and programmes of the Seyi Makinde-led administration in Oyo State.
