Hon. Akin Ibrahim Ajao is in mourning following the passing of his beloved father, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajao.
In a statement made available to the press on Saturday, Hon. Ajao announced that his father returned to his Creator on Saturday, 15th August 2026.
“INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAYHI RAJI’UN
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. With total submission to the will of Allah, I regretfully announce the passing of my beloved father, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajao,” Hon. Ajao stated.
Burial Arrangements
According to Islamic rites, the Janazah prayer will take place today, Saturday, 15th August 2026, by 4:00 PM at the family residence in Idi Ayunre, Oluyole Local Government Area, Oyo State.
The family has called on well-wishers, associates, political colleagues, and members of the public to join in prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
Tributes
Hon. Ajao described his late father as a man of integrity, humility, and deep faith who lived a life dedicated to family, community service, and the worship of Allah.
“My father was a pillar of support and guidance. His counsel, love, and prayers shaped the man I am today. We will greatly miss his wisdom and kindness,” he said.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajao’s shortcomings, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and grants the entire family, relatives, friends, and loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
May Allah accept his good deeds and make his grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise. Ameen.
