As the month of August begins, Abimbola Oladimeji Owonifaari has offered prayers for residents of Ibadan South East Local Government, asking God for peace, progress and divine blessings in the new month.
Owonifaari, who is widely regarded as a grassroots leader in the council area, led a prayer session on Friday with community members, party faithful and youth groups. He prayed for open doors, economic growth, and protection for families across all wards in Ibadan South East.
In his prayer, he asked God to order the steps of the people, bless the works of their hands, and bring testimonies to homes that have been waiting on the Lord. He also prayed for unity among residents, wisdom for leaders, and an end to hardship affecting traders, artisans and young people.
“We are entering August with hope. My prayer is that this month will bring new beginnings, healing, and opportunities for everyone in Ibadan South East. God will see us through and our council will experience development that the people can feel,” Owonifaari said.
He further committed the local government and Oyo State into God’s hands, praying for peaceful coexistence and purposeful leadership that will deliver real impact to the grassroots.
Residents who joined the prayer expressed appreciation, noting that spiritual covering and purposeful leadership are needed as the year progresses.
With the prayer, Owonifaari charged the people of Ibadan South East to remain hopeful, hardworking and united, saying August will be a month of good news and progress for the council.
