The Member representing Atisbo/Saki East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Health, Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, JP, popularly known as “Wale Canada,” has been lauded for his performance in office.
A political analyst, who assessed the lawmaker’s stewardship said Hon. Gbadamosi has “done credibly well” since assuming office, citing his legislative contributions and constituency engagement.
As Chairman of the House Committee on Health, Hon. Wale Canada has played a key role in legislative oversight of health institutions across Oyo State. The committee under his watch has conducted facility inspections, budget oversight, and engagements with stakeholders to improve healthcare delivery at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels.
The analyst noted that the position has given Atisbo/Saki East more visibility in state-level health policy discussions.
“Chairing the Health Committee comes with serious responsibility. Hon. Gbadamosi has handled it with maturity and focus. He has ensured that issues affecting our hospitals and health centers are brought to the front burner,” the analyst said.
In Atisbo and Saki East, the lawmaker is regarded as accessible to constituents. The analyst highlighted his interactions with traditional rulers, youth groups, market women, and community leaders as part of efforts to stay connected to grassroots concerns.
Key areas of attention mentioned include education support, rural infrastructure, youth engagement, and advocacy for better healthcare access in the constituency.
“Representation is about being present and being a voice. From what we have seen, Hon. Wale Canada has not relented in that regard,” the analyst added.
Speaking on the overall assessment, the analyst said the lawmaker’s performance in the current assembly deserves commendation.
