In a statement released in Ibadan on Thursday, Hon. Oluyedun said Governor Makinde’s decision to vie for the presidency has rekindled hope among Nigerians seeking purposeful leadership, accountability, and inclusive development.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has demonstrated capacity, competence, and compassion in Oyo State. His presidential bid is not just for Oyo, but for all Nigerians who believe in a working nation. His achievements in education, infrastructure, health, and security speak for themselves,” Oluyedun stated.

The political stakeholder noted that Makinde’s leadership style, anchored on transparency and welfarism, is what the country needs at this critical time. He expressed confidence that the governor’s experience and vision would resonate with Nigerians across all regions.

I therefore urge the good people of Oyo State as well as entire Nigerian to support and vote for APM for better Governance across the nation.

While commending the governor, Hon. Oluyedun also used the opportunity to sympathize with the families of students and staff recently abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Describing the incident as tragic and unacceptable, he called on security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure the safe and immediate release of the victims.

“My heart goes out to the parents, families, and colleagues of the abducted students and staff in Oriire. This is a painful moment for all of us. I pray for their safe return and urge the government and security operatives not to rest until every single victim is reunited with their loved ones,” he said.

Hon. Oluyedun further appealed to residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could aid rescue operations.

He reaffirmed his belief in Governor Makinde’s commitment to security, urging the state government to continue strengthening its security architecture to forestall future occurrences.

The statement concluded with prayers for peace in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
