Kajola 2027: Adetunji Picks APM Form, Pledges Closer Ties with Grassroots

Hon. Olugbenga George Adetunji, a candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Kajola State Constituency, has picked the nomination form of the Allied Peoples Movement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The step marks the formal declaration of his candidacy under the APM platform and sets the stage for his campaign focused on grassroots engagement and accountable representation. Supporters who accompanied him to the party secretariat described the move as a demonstration of readiness to serve and a commitment to constitutional process.

Speaking after obtaining the form, Adetunji said his decision to run is driven by the need to bring purposeful representation to the people of Kajola. He stated that his legislative agenda will prioritize policies and projects that directly address the day-to-day challenges faced by households across the constituency.

He emphasized a development model rooted in grassroots consultation, noting that decisions affecting communities should reflect the input of the people who live in them. According to him, effective representation requires regular contact with constituents, listening to their concerns, and ensuring that government resources translate into visible improvements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic opportunities.

Adetunji, who is widely known as OGA, has been active in Kajola politics since 2011. He previously contested for the same seat under the Peoples Democratic Party in 2011 and 2019, and under the Social Democratic Party in 2023. Over the years he has organized interventions in education and community support, including free transportation for applicants writing TESCOM and SUBEB examinations.

Party members and residents at the event said his track record of accessibility and practical support gives him an advantage heading into the election. They expressed confidence that his experience and grassroots orientation align with the APM’s commitment to people-centered governance.

Adetunji concluded by calling on residents of Kajola to participate actively in the democratic process and to support efforts aimed at strengthening unity and progress in the local government. His campaign continues under the slogan: Same Vision. Same Commitment. Same Progress. Ileri Oluwa 2027.
