I write to formally notify you of my decision to resign my membership of the peoples democratic party (PDP) effective immediately.
This decision was not taken lightly. I have been a loyal member of the PDP since its creation. However, the internal leadership issues currently rocking the party at the state and federal levels has made it difficult for me to continue in good conscience. While this is not within our local government, its broader impact on the party direction and unity cannot be ignored.
It is disheartening to leave at this time, But it has become necessary so I can focus on myself and on the mandate entrusted to me by the people of Ibarapa North Local Government in my capacity as their executive chairman.
On this note, I hereby request that my name should be removed from all the PDP platform/register with immediate effect.
I will discuss my next political move in due course. I regret whatever pain this decision may cause my followers and political associates and I appreciate the support and opportunities I have received over the years.
