In a significant gathering promoting unity and spiritual growth, Hon. Saheed Abimbola Oladimeji, popularly known as Owonifaari, is hosting his annual Ramadan Lecture today in Ibadan, Oyo State capital. The highly anticipated event is set to bring together prominent leaders, scholars, and community members to reflect on the values of love, unity, and peaceful coexistence.
The event, scheduled for March 7, 2026, is themed “The Perspective of Greatness in Unity and Love.” It will take place at the historic Mapo Hall, beginning at 1:00 pm
The Guest Lecturer for the programme is Sheikh Yunus Teliat Olushina Ayilara II, PhD, the Grand Chief Imam of Ogbomoso land, who is expected to deliver an Islamic discourse focusing on the significance of unity, love, and peaceful coexistence in society.
The event will feature prominent political leaders, scholars, and dignitaries from across Oyo State and beyond.
Ambassador Taofeek Oladeji Arapaja, the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will serve as Father of the Day.
Other dignitaries expected at the lecture include Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, PDP Vice Chairman in Oyo State; Hon. Dare Adeleke, PDP Leader; Hon. Emmanuel Alawode, Chairman of Ibadan South-East Local Government; Hon. Ademola Ige, Chairman of the Local Government Pension Board; and Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin, Oyo State Commissioner for Energy.
