Zonal Secretariat : Gov. Makinde Has Repositioned Oyo State as Headquarters of South West Politics – BGI

The Coordinator for Governor Makinde re-election in Ibadan South West Local Government, Babatunde George Ige BGI has applauded Governor Seyi Makinde for the commissioning of the South West Party Secretariat named after the late former National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Soji Adagunodo.

Governor Seyi Makinde has reaffirmed his commitment to honoring the legacy of late Hon. Soji Adagunodo, a renowned PDP chieftain, during the commissioning of the South West Party Secretariat named after him. Makinde pledged to complete the project within a few months, demonstrating his dedication to regional development and unity within the party.

This move has strategically positioned Ibadan and Oyo State as the epicenter of South West of Nigeria politics, earning praise from Babatunde George Ige (BGI). Ige commended Governor Makinde for his exceptional leadership and dedication to celebrating the contributions of past leaders, further solidifying his reputation as a champion of regional growth and party unity.

Makinde’s leadership style reflects a unique blend of visionary thinking, empathy, and pragmatism, fostering an environment where citizens’ voices are heard . He stated: “His Excellency’s decision to name the secretariat after Hon. Soji Adagunodo, a revered party stalwart, is indeed praiseworthy. Adagunodo, until his death, was known for his unwavering dedication to the PDP, and his impactful political career left an enduring legacy in the South West and beyond.

“By commissioning this building, Governor Makinde has demonstrated his focus on regional development and party unity, cementing his legacy as a leader who walks the talk” The secretariat will foster grassroots political engagement, unity, and growth within the PDP, thanks to the magnanimity of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde,” BGI noted.

He urged party members to leverage the resources offered by the new secretariat to build a stronger future for the PDP.
