The Executive Chairman Ibadan South West Local Government,Hon.Kehinde Adeyemi Akande has conducted a swearing-in ceremony for the newly nominated Supervisory Councilors and Special Assistants at the Mini Mapo Hall of the Council Secretariat
The swearing in ceremony which took place today at the council secretariat was colourful and well attended by dignitaries of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) both far and near
In his keynote address,Council boss returned all glory to Almighty God who spared our lives to witness this epoch making event.he also appreciates the people’s Governor, His Excellency Engr, Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to PDP members to participate at the grassroot level
Ambassador Akande therefore charges all the political functionaries of the council and the newly sworn in supervisory Councilors and Special Assistants to start working for People’s Democratic Party against 2027 general elections so as to ensure that PDP members are still at the helms of affairs
Speaking further, Council helmsman appealed to everyone to continue to support Governor Seyi Makinde’s Administration at the state level and his administration at the Local Government to continue to enjoy dividend of democracy
Hon.Akande however, noted that the expertise and experience of the newly sworn in Supervisory Councilors and Special assistants will be assets to our local government. He said ‘I have no doubt that they will make significant contributions to our efforts to improve the lives of our residents’
Dr Nureni Adeniran, Chairman Oyo SUBEB, Hon,Wasiu Adeleke,PDP Secretary Oyo State, Chief Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke,Chairman Solution FM,in their separate remarks appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for his large heart and encouraged all the newly nominated officials to support and work together with the political functionaries to achieve a better goal at Ibadan South West local government
Hon.Oluyedun Bello one of the new Supervisory Councilor who spoke on behalf of the sworn in Supervisory Councilors and Special Assistants after oath of office, pledged to discharge their duties faithfully and to the best of their abilities.
