Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, Executive Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), met with newly recruited teachers from Oyo-East, Oyo-West, Atiba, and Afijio Local Government Universal Basic Education Authorities (LGUBEAs). The meeting aimed to discuss the posting of excess teachers to other LGUBEAs, as the current numbers exceed the required amount in these areas.

According to Dr. Adeniran, the surplus of teachers in these LGUBEAs necessitates their redistribution to ensure optimal utilization of resources. This strategic move is expected to enhance the overall quality of education in Oyo State.
In addition to discussing the posting of teachers, Dr. Adeniran also informed the new recruits about their remuneration package, which exceeds N100,000 per month. This development is attributed to the support of Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, who has been instrumental in enhancing the welfare of teachers in the state.

This move is part of the Oyo State Government’s efforts to revamp the education sector, following the recent recruitment of 5,600 new teachers. The verification process for these new recruits has been ongoing, with the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) releasing schedules and required documents for the exercise.
