Oyo Commissioner, Adegoke Hosts President’s Aide, Hon. Khadijat Omotayo Kareem as Governor Makinde Receives Award for Outstanding Leadership

The Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports recently hosted Hon. Khadijat Omotayo Kareem, Personal Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Constituency Affairs. The visit was part of a town hall meeting that brought together various stakeholders, including civil society organizations, religious leaders, youth groups, and persons with disabilities.

During the meeting, participants commended the state and federal governments for their developmental initiatives but also raised concerns about abandoned projects in the state. They urged the federal government to address these unfinished ventures.

The team, led by Hon. Kareem, visited several abandoned federal government projects in Oyo State, including: National Development Center: Located at Oni La Muslim area, Ibadan; National Maternity Center, Located at Ire Akari Street, Nalende, Ibadan; Federal Health Center: Located at Jaloke area, Olomi, Ibadan

Hon. Kareem’s team was received by the Commissioner, who presented an award of exemplary leadership to Governor Seyi Makinde. The award was received by the Honorable Commissioner on behalf of the Governor.

Honourable Wasilat Adegoke is confident that reviving abandoned projects in Ibadan will significantly boost youth development in Oyo State. As the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, she noted that Governor Makinde is committed to empowering young people through various initiatives being implemented by the ministry which aims to prioritize and promote youth development and it is unlocking new opportunities for its youth, driving growth and progress in the community.
