The Nigeria Union of Journalists, FRCN Chapel, held its 2025 Ramadan Lecture and Iftar ceremony yesterday, featuring a thought-provoking lecture by Professor Sabit Atiyo Olagoke, Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide, Ibadan.
Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), attended the event as a special guest. Reflecting on his past experience as a young presenter at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dr. Adeniran expressed his nostalgia for the institution, which he described as “home” during his formative years.
Professor Olagoke’s lecture, which was the centerpiece of the event, offered insightful perspectives on the significance of Ramadan and the importance of spiritual growth during the holy month. The event also featured an iftar ceremony, where participants broke their fast together in a spirit of unity and camaraderie.
In his remarks, Dr. Adeniran expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the event and prayed that Allah would accept the fasts of all participants and grant them the opportunity to witness many more Ramadan celebrations on earth.
