To foster a supportive environment for youth growth and participation, Honourable Kehinde Akande, Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government Council, has announced the designated venues for the upcoming 2024 Summer Free Holiday Coaching program, a initiative aimed at empowering young individuals in secondary schools through various engaging activities and skill-building exercises.
The program, designed for children and teenagers, aims to provide a platform for them to develop their skills and talents during the long summer holiday. This year’s edition promises to be exciting, with a range of activities and training sessions lined up.
According to Honourable Akande, the venues for the coaching program are:
- UMC, Oke- Ado
- St. Michael, Apata.
The coaching program will commence on August 12, 2024, and run through September 6, 2024.
Honourable Akande emphasized the importance of the program, stating, “We recognize the need to engage our youth positively during the long holiday period. This coaching program is designed to provide them with a platform to develop their skills, build their confidence, and make new friends.”
The program is free and open to all children and teenagers within the Ibadan South West Local Government area. Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their wards for the program.
