Investigation has shown that there was no such record of any DPO, policeman, or a soldier(s) snatching a ballot box at Umuokere Polling Unit (PU) 006, in the just concluded Rerun Elections in Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency of Enugu State, as alleged in the report dwelling on a video clip.
As clearly seen in the video, and contrary to the mischievous allegation, the security personnel were resisting and safeguarding the ballot boxes from thugs that attempted to snatch them.
We urge you to disregard the report, as it is clearly an act of junk journalism meant to mislead the public, demean and discredit the efforts of the Police and other security agencies, which brought about a peaceful rerun elections in the Constituency, please.
