Ibadan South West Constituency II: BGI Offers Visionary Representation, Inclusive Development

As consultations intensify ahead of the next legislative cycle, Honourable Babatunde George Ige, BGI has stated that he is for purposeful and people-centred representation in the Oyo State House of Assembly for Ibadan South West Local Government, Constituency II.

A grassroots mobiliser with a record of community engagement, BGI is anchoring his aspiration on a legislative agenda that prioritises inclusive development, youth empowerment, quality education, and responsive governance. His blueprint for Constituency II emphasizes accessible healthcare, improved infrastructure, and support for small-scale enterprises as key drivers of local prosperity.

Stakeholders across the constituency describe BGI as a bridge between the people and government, noting his consistent advocacy for the concerns of artisans, market associations, teachers, and young professionals. “Representation must be felt in the streets, markets, and classrooms, not just in the chambers,” he told community leaders during a recent engagement in Oke- Bola.

BGI, a development advocate and policy enthusiast, has been credited for supporting indigent students, and championing periodic town hall meetings to ensure constituents’ voices that will shape legislative priorities. His legislative focus will include sponsoring bills that will expand social protection, strengthen basic education delivery, and create an enabling environment for job creation within Ibadan South West.

Party leaders and community elders say his blend of accessibility, competence, and clarity of vision positions him as a credible choice for Constituency II. “Babatunde George Ige, BGI understands the issues because he lives them with the people. He is deliberate, he listens, and he delivers,” a ward member in Ward 10 remarked.

With a campaign anchored on the theme “Together for a Better Constituency II”, BGI has pledged transparent representation, periodic constituency briefings, and a functional constituency office that will serve as a hub for feedback and intervention.

“Our mandate is to make government work for the people of Ibadan South West Constituency II. With your support, we will sponsor impactful laws, attract meaningful projects, and ensure no community is left behind,” Ige affirmed.

As the political season unfolds, Hon. Babatunde George Ige continues to consult stakeholders, women groups, youth bodies, and traditional institutions across the 12 wards of the local government , reinforcing his message of inclusive growth and accountable leadership.
