Eid-el-Fitr: Ibarapakan Felicitates Muslims, Urges Unity

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has felicitated Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.

Hon. Adepoju, in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on Friday, March 20, 2026, urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of piety, discipline and sacrifice imbibed during the holy month.

He noted that despite the prevailing economic challenges, Nigerians across religious lines showed resilience and strong faith through fasting.

The lawmaker said Eid-el-Fitr presents an opportunity for Nigerians to unite, seek spiritual guidance and chart a path towards national development, urging citizens to embrace peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance at all times.

Ibarapakan also thanked Muslim faithful for coming out en masse for his annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar, stating that the spirit of communal harmony demonstrated during the extended religious gathering is all that Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North need to achieve sustainable growth and development.

The federal lawmaker also emphasised the role of religious institutions in nation-building, calling on religious leaders to continue to promote peace and stability towards a more just and God-fearing society.

The Ibarapa-born lawmaker commended Nigerians for their sacrifices, adding that righteousness remains key to national growth.

He congratulated Muslims in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, urging residents to remain law-abiding during and after the Eid celebrations.
