Oyo State Forum of Supervisory Councillors Coordinator, Alarape Kabir Imam, has congratulated supervisory councillors across the state on witnessing the dawn of a new year, 2025. This milestone marks a significant opportunity for renewed commitment to serving the people and driving progress in their respective domains.
As the state continues to strive for excellence in governance and development, the role of supervisory councillors remains pivotal. Imam’s congratulatory message serves as a reminder of the importance of their duties and the impact they can have on the lives of citizens.
The Oyo State Government has demonstrated its commitment to supporting local government officials, including supervisory councillors, through various initiatives. For instance, the state government organized an induction workshop for all supervisory councillors and special assistants, aimed at enhancing their capacity to deliver effective services.
As the year 2025 unfolds, Imam’s message encourages supervisory councillors to re-dedicate themselves to their responsibilities, working tirelessly to promote the welfare and well-being of their constituents and local government. By doing so, they will contribute significantly to the state’s progress and development.
Imam emphasized the need for supervisory councillors to be proactive, responsive, and accountable to the people and cooperate with the local government chairman. He urged them to engage with their constituents, listen to their concerns, and work collaboratively with other stakeholders to address the challenges facing their communities.
The coordinator also acknowledged the good effort of Governor Seyi Makinde, all local government chairman under the leadership of Honourable Sikiru Sanda. However, he expressed optimism that the new year would bring new opportunities for growth, development, and improvement in the lives of the people.
As the supervisory councillors begin the new year, they are poised to play a critical role in shaping the future of Oyo State. With renewed commitment, dedication, and a willingness to serve, they can make a meaningful difference in the lives of their constituents and contribute to the state’s overall development.
