Hon. Yemi Taiwo, the Chairman Oyo State Library Board recently paid a visit to the Oyo State Library in Dugbe to inspect the library facilities and assess its overall condition. I thank God Almighty and His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde on this day, December 18, 2023, as I formally return to my position as Chairman of the Oyo State Library Board. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Mr. Awotona S.O., the acting state librarian, as well as other board staff members and management.
As I toured the library’s facilities for an on-the-spot examination of the board-owned and managed offices and departments, I observed scenarios involving objects and buildings firsthand.
Along with God Almighty, Governor Seyi Makinde, the management teams, and other stakeholders, I pray that the Oyo State Library Board would see a favorable reversal in the upcoming months. In addition to books, the Oyo Library also offers digital resources, including e-books, online databases, and computer facilities.
